But despite the lack of space for guests, the super-rich are likely to line up to book a visit with realtors.

That’s because the house is inside a historic church – and comes with its own pulpit, now used as a bar.

The magnificent building has been transformed into an ultra-modern property that honors its ecclesiastical origins.

While the benches have been removed and warm touches added, beautiful stained glass windows remain in place.

An elegant gray platform suspended from the eaves houses the master bedroom.

The structure has been fitted with glass instead of walls, which means that the owner can monitor the space from the comfort of his bed.

CELESTIAL HOUSE

Outside, the occupant will find a terrace fitted out for sunny days.

Most striking of all is a glass dome installed between the floors, so that the wooden roof can be seen from ground level.

It is currently owned by a London couple, who bought the church as a second home.

Joey Hansen of Hove Mishon Welton’s agents said the building is one of only two French Protestant churches still standing in England.

“This is one of the most unique properties in Brighton and Hove,” he said.

“Being in the heart of the city, shoppers are literally just a short walk from everything the city has to offer.

‘A MASTERPIECE’

In a real estate ad, the pad is described as “a masterpiece of history, architecture and interior design set in the heart of Brighton”.

He continues: “A Reformed Church which has been renovated to the highest standards, bringing together the most wonderful blend of contemporary interior design, while containing the richness of its rich period charm and unique history.”

The land was purchased for £ 735 in the mid-1800s, and the church itself cost £ 800 to build.

It was officially consecrated in 1887 as the French Protestant Church of Brighton.

Designed in a red brick Gothic style, it features three pairs of lancet windows, a pointed arch entrance door, and a small copper spire atop its square turret.

A time capsule was also placed in the main stone foundation in the year of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee.

Weekly Sunday services were held in the building until it closed in 2008 when it was sold to the current owners.

Other gorgeous and unusual homes currently on the market include a £ 1million apartment inside London St Pancras.

The establishment has a 24-hour concierge service thanks to its proximity to the five-star St Pancras Renaissance hotel.

There is also a ballroom downstairs which means the owner will be able to throw the most luxurious house party in London.

And a former pie and mash shop in London’s East End is opening up to an incredible three-bedroom property valued at over £ 1million.

J. Gooding’s Pie ‘N’ Mash boutique has been transformed into an eclectic family home.

The sumptuous property has a cinema room, a gym, an underground garage for 10 cars, a private spa and even an Olympic-sized paddock.
