Mr Morgan hosted glittering parties at his Space Race-era home, Shirley Bassey was a guest, as were the big and good of Sydney society, plus nightclub entertainers of the town of the 1950s and 1960s. Older neighbors of the 1980s remember the Sunday afternoon parties and parties that Mr. Morgan invited nightclub performers to.

The three-brick house was the center of the Balgowlah Heights party in the 1960s. During this time, his son Rex founded the famous Pittwater House independent school on the northern beaches.

Number 3 Vista Ave was built in 1955 and has stunning period features with curved walls, large bay windows and a stretched ying and yang floor plan.

One of its other owners was Manly Mayor Brian Hamer, who served on Manly Council in the 1990s. He and his wife Gai raised their family in the historic property with its views over Middle Harbor to the city.

Current owners, Lachlan and Sarah Cameron, have added a self-contained grandmother’s apartment to the back and basketball court and transformed the underground garage into a man cave or game room. They also installed underfloor heating to the marble floors.

The two storey house sits on 1110m² of land and has an interesting layout with a large oval master bedroom at one end and an even larger oval kitchen and dining room at the other end. There is an original fireplace covered in sandstone, high ceilings, a veranda next to the master bedroom and an almost new stone induction kitchen.

Agent Mark Griffiths, of Ray White Seaforth, said there are no straight walls in the house, the rooms are large and graceful, ideal for entertaining, and there is room to add another floor for even more impressive views. The five-bedroom party home is due to go up for auction on Saturday, April 2.
